LHC throws out petition seeking disqualification of PM, others
The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday upheld its registrar’s decision of throwing out the petition, seeking disqualification of Prime Minister Imran Khan, his cabinet members and holding of general elections in the country, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Expressing his displeasure over the petition, Justice Najafi asked the petitioner to approach the relevant forum for the purpose. “Why not the court fines you for filing a ‘baseless’ petition,” the judge remarked.
Sheikh Muzzafar had filed the application, in which he had made Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, federal ministers Sheikh Rasheed and Fawad Chaudhry as respondents.
