‘Dengue-hit’ Fawad Chaudry skipped his appearance before an election commission panel in a contempt case while he appeared at a party event, 24NewsHD TV channel reported Tuesday.

Former federal minister Fawad Ch and ex-PM Imran Khan were due to appear before a four-member ECP panel but their lawyer bought time on the pretext that they were unwell.

Fawad Chaudhary did not appear as, according to Advocate Faisal Chaudhry, he was suffering from dengue fever.  The ex-PM could not appear because he was injured in the Wazirabad shooting, the panel was told.

Later, British High Commissioner Christian Turner met Imran Khan at Zaman Park in Lahore and Chaudhry Fawad Hussain was also present. 

In reply to a query, the ex-minister said he was suffering from dengue but he is 'ready' for anything. What happens during dengue fever ...Have you ever been hit by dengue, Fawad asked the reporter.
