Another 17 Indian-sponsored terrorists including three key commanders of Fitna Khawarij were killed in an intelligence-based operation carried out by security forces personnel in Bannu District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to an ISPR statement released on Saturday afternoon, on 21 November 2025, on reported presence of khwarij, a joint intelligence-based operation was conducted by the security forces and law-enforcement agencies personnel in Bannu District. 

During the conduct of the operation, own troops effectively engaged the khwarij location and after an intense fire exchange, eight khwarij belonging to Indian proxy Fitna Al-Khwarij were sent to hell.

A huge cache of arms and ammunition was recovered. Police, CTD Bannu and security forces conducted an operation on the presence of Fitna al-Kharij groups in Sherikhel and Pakpahar Khel where 10 foreign terrorists were killed, 5 were injured, 1 facilitator was also arrested. 

The dead bodies of 7 terrorists were recovered, 3 could not be retrieved due to difficult mountainous area. The slain include Fitna al-Kharij commanders Niaz Ali alias Akasha and Abdullah alias Shipunkoi, who were wanted by the police and security forces. 

In Nasr Khel area, a joint operation by Lucky Police, CTD and Peace Committee was carried out, a wanted terrorist was killed. The local people expressed confidence in security forces operation and took up arms against terrorists. 

In Bannu's Hoveed area, police and peace committees clashed with terrorists who fled from the scene. 

Fitna al-Khawarij opened fire on police APC in Domail area where police personnel gave them a befitting reply. On receiving information about the incident, Bannu police, CTD and security forces were deployed, 6 Khawarij were killed, dozens were injured in an 8-hour long operation.

In the operation, the notorious terrorist Commander Rasool alias Commander Ariana along with his associates were killed, arms and ammunition were recovered.

Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Zulfiqar Hameed congratulated Bannu Region Police, CTD and security forces for successful operations and effective strikes on terrorists.

He said police and security forces will clean the soil of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from Khawarij and terrorists will be pursued to their secret hideouts. IG Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. IGP said operations will continue until the last terrorist is eliminated to protect the lives and property of the public.

These meticulously coordinated and synchronized security measures were designed to constrict the operational mobility of Khwarij elements, systematically dismantle their facilitation networks, and curtail their capacity to reorganize. Operations are producing substantial and measurable success with continuous efforts to achieve more peace and stability, said the ISPR statement. 

Sanitization operation is being conducted to eliminate any other Indian-sponsored Kharji found in the area, as the relentless Counter Terrorism campaign under vision “Azm-e-Istehkam” (as approved by the Federal Apex Committee on National Action Plan) by security forces and law-enforcement agencies of Pakistan will continue at full pace to wipe out the menace of foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from the country.

 

 Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, President Asif Zardari and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi Saturday, appreciated the security forces and law-enforcement agencies for the successful joint intelligence operation in Bannu district against Fitna al-Khwarij operating under the Indian patronage.

President Zardari in his message saluted the determination and bravery of Jawans for eliminating eight terrorists involved in terrorist activities with Indian backing.

President Secretariat in a press release said that coordinated actions against the Khwarij were further strengthening the national solidarity.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that eliminating the organized terrorist networks operating under the Indian patronage was a top national priority.

PM Shehbaz said the complete eradication of foreign-backed terrorists from the homeland was essential for the survival of the country, he added.

Both President and PM Shehbaz saluted the determination and bravery of Jawans for eliminating eight terrorists involved in terrorist activities with Indian backing, President Secretariat Press Wing said in a press release.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi observed that coordinated actions against the Khwarij were further strengthening the national solidarity.

He lauded security forces who were committed to eliminate the organized terrorist networks operating under the Indian patronage.
