The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) has arrested a fake intelligence agency officer, Major Usman Shah, who was involved in the murder of a police informer, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

The CTD personnel arrested Usman Shah from Quetta and shifted him to Karachi. He along with SHO Haroon Korayi, Imran Mehsud and others was involved in murder of informer Fazl, who helped in seizure of chhaliya (betel nut) worth Rs70 million.

They abducted Fazal from his house and murdered him in the limits of Steel Town in Karachi.

The accused who belonged to the chhaliya mafia and was said to be extremely cunning and clever has been able to dodge the CTD many times.

Usman Shah used to introduce himself as a major of a federal intelligence agency, but in reality he was an ASI and was an incharge of Balochistan CTD’s locator team and was discharged from duty in 2019 after many complaints were received against him.
