People of Lahore continued to face inconvenience as internet service remained suspended in most parts of the city for the second consecutive day on Friday owing to the ongoing protest by the activists of Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) and the protest planned by the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) at Jain Mandir Chowk today after Friday prayers, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Areas such as Allama Iqbal Town, Samanabad, Sabza Zar, Gulshan Ravi and others were still without the service till the filing of this report.
Metro Bus Service also suspended in Lahore
Meanwhile, the fear of protests by the activists of Tehreek-i-Labbaik Pakistan (TTP) and Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) prompted the authorities in Lahore to suspend the Metro Bus Service.
Earlier, the authorities limited the Metro Bus’ route from Gajjumata to MAO College.
In Rawalpindi too, the authorities had to suspend the Metro Bus Service from Saddar to Faizabad and seal the routes by placing containers on account of expected Long March by the activists of TLP.
However, the bus service continued in Islamabad.
The district administration in Faisalabad also placed containers on roads to prevent protests both by the TLP and PDM.
