Heavy rain prediction for Karachi

Pakistan Meteorological Office has predicted strong winds and heavy rain on Sunday while drizzle on Saturday in Karachi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
The weather office said that continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country and a westerly wave is likely to enter western/upper parts of the country in next 02-03 days and likely to grip most parts of the country on Sunday and may persist till Tuesday.
On Friday, cold and dry weather is expected in most districts of Sindh, however, fog/smog will decrease over Sukkur, Larkana, Jacobabad, Shaheed Benazirabad, Mohenjodaro, coastal areas and surroundings in morning/night hours.
The weather office further said that mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country, while partly cloudy in upper parts, however, rain/snow is expected at isolated places in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir and its adjoining hilly areas. Fog/ smog is likely to prevail in plain areas of Punjab.
Reports said that Pakistan Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) director general has also issued a circular to all departments to make preparations to avoid any untoward incident from the rain.
