Punjab IGP transfers 24 officers, appoints several new DPOs
Punjab Inspector General of Police Abdul Karim has ordered the transfer and posting of 24 police officers, including several District Police Officers (DPOs), in a major reshuffle across the province.
According to the notification, Dost Muhammad has been posted as DPO Sialkot, while Asad Ijaz Malhi has been appointed DPO Okara. Waqar Azeem has been posted as DPO Mianwali and Muhammad Shafiq as DPO Jhelum.
Sajid Khokhar has been appointed DPO Jhang, Arsalan Zahid as DPO Nankana Sahib, Akhlaq Tarar as DPO Toba Tek Singh, and Muhammad Abid as DPO Khanewal.
In other key appointments, Muhammad Tariq Aziz has been posted as SSP Special Branch Lahore Region, while Syed Imran Karamat Bukhari has been appointed SP Intelligence Special Branch Punjab.
Farooq Sultan has been posted as AIG Admin and Security at the Central Police Office (CPO) Punjab, and Ismail-ur-Rehman as AIG Complaints CPO Punjab. Ahmed Mohiuddin has been directed to report to the Central Police Office Punjab.
Muhammad Rashid has been appointed SSP Intelligence CTD Punjab. Captain (R) Muhammad Ajmal has been posted as AIG Operations South Punjab, while Faraz Ahmed has been appointed AIG Research and Development CPO Punjab.
Faisal Shahzad and Ibadat Nisar have also been directed to report to the Central Police Office Punjab.
Captain (R) Bilal Iftikhar has been appointed SSP Punjab Highway Patrol (PHP) Gujranwala. Abdul Wahab has been posted as SSP Investigation and Inspection CCD Punjab, and Waseem Akhtar as Chief Traffic Officer Gujranwala.
Ayesha Butt has been appointed SP Headquarters Elite Police Force Punjab. Farooq Ahmed Anwar has been posted as SP RIB Sahiwal Region, while Mehmood Haroon has been appointed SP Internal Accountability Branch Sahiwal Region.
The reshuffle is part of routine administrative changes aimed at improving operational efficiency within the Punjab Police.
