On the request of the Pak-Afghan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Pakistan has opened a separate route to facilitate the women crossing the Pak-Afghan border at Chaman, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
The Chamber’s request has been granted by the IG Frontier Corps who allocated a separate route for the women on the Pak-Afghan border which has come into operation from Saturday (today).
Reportedly, a separate 12-foot wide pathway has been allocated for women from NADRA Office to Bab-e-Dosti Gate that has sent jubilant waves among the locals as well.
Now commuters and traders will pass from separate routes to cross the Chaman border.
It is pertinent to note that Wesh–Chaman border crossing leads north from the town of Chaman, Balochistan into Wesh in Spin Boldak, Kandahar province in Afghanistan.
