Fazlur Rahman declares voting a form of jihad, urges followers to understand its significance

Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam head Maulana Fazlur Rahman has proclaimed that Allah Almighty has bestowed upon them an opportunity for "easy jihad" through the act of voting, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.

Addressing a public rally in Lucky Marwat on Monday, he emphasized the need for understanding the ballot as a form of jihad.

Maulana Fazlur Rahman criticized the composition of the assemblies, asserting that they are filled with individuals showing little interest in Islam.

He highlighted that Allah has made the journey from the battlefield with swords and guns to the simplicity of casting a vote accessible for the believers.

Stressing the pivotal role of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam in raising the voice for truth, Maulana Fazlur Rahman asserted that during the American bombing in Afghanistan, it was only the members of his party who stood on the roads of Pakistan.

He further recalled the historic events, mentioning the unlawful occupation of Israel on Arab land and South Africa's endorsement of justice for Palestine.

Drawing parallels between the global challenges and the ongoing elections, he questioned the courage of those participating in the elections, asking whether they stand with their Muslim brethren.
