Countrywide protests broke out on the call of PTI chairman Imran Khan after Punjab CM Hamza Shehbaz's re-election, 24NewsHD TV channel reported.
Though the former prime minister has laid stress on peaceful protest, violence and law-breaking have been reported.
“I want to appeal to the nation to record their peaceful protest. “Don't take the law into your hands; stay peaceful,” he said.

In Lahore, the lawmakers and workers of PTI and its ally reached the Supreme Court Registry and attempted to barge into it.
Earlier, supporters of Imran Khan staged a demo at Liberty Chowk in the provincial capital.
Punjab lawmakers and leaders are too among the demonstrators.
In Attock, PTI workers staged a protest at Fawara Chowk and shouted slogans against the government.

A clash between PTI and PPP workers was reported in Hyder Chowk of Hyderabad. Lawmen reached to spot. In Karachi, the protesters rallied on Shahrah Faisal.
In his address to people on the eve of the Punjab CM election, the PTI chief said he won’t be able to hold back the people if their vote was ‘disrespected’.
The PTI recently won 15 out of 20 seats in the by-election in the province.
