The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has decided to launch a grand operation against tax evaders after the apex tax collection body received data of 5.3 million consumers from electricity distribution companies (discos), reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

Sources claimed on Wednesday that the FBR has issued notices to 0.65 million in which 1.3 million people have submitted their tax returns.

The sources further claimed that FBR will issue notices on the basis of the date of the next fiscal year.
