Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Islamabad has arrested a person involved in human trafficking, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Thursday. 

According to a spokesperson of FIA, a team constituted on the direction of the Deputy Director Anti-Human Smuggling Cell conducted a raid and held a suspect identified as Ameer Zaib from Buner District.  He was running a network that used to extort millions of rupees from innocent citizens for sending them aboard illegally. He also used to get millions from simpleton people in the name of Malaysian visas.

 A dozen of Pakistani passports with fake Malaysian visa stickers were recovered from their possession. Many Pakistanis were offloaded and deported due to incomplete or fake documents. The accused had caused serious financial loss to simple people.

The FIA has obtained physical remand of the accused from a local court for further probe.
