Quetta train service suspended for one day

Quetta passengers faced disruptions on March 23 (Monday) as railway authorities announced a one-day suspension of train service from the city to other parts of Pakistan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Jaffar Express, which runs from Quetta to Peshawar, did not depart yesterday. Similarly, the return journey from Peshawar to Quetta has also been cancelled from Jacobabad onwards.

Railway officials said the suspension is due to unavoidable operational reasons. No further disruptions are expected beyond March 23.

Passengers affected by the cancellations will receive a full refund of their tickets. The railway authorities urged travelers to plan their journeys accordingly and check for updates before visiting stations.

This temporary halt comes as part of routine maintenance and logistical adjustments. Railway officials assured that services will resume normally from March 24.

The decision has drawn mixed reactions from commuters. Some expressed disappointment, citing travel plans for work and family commitments. They emphasized safety and efficiency as the main reasons for the temporary suspension.
