Customs staff protest at Torkham border over FC interference
Customs staff started a protest on Thursday against the interference of Frontier Corps (FC) in Khyber at the Torkham border, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to official sources, the staff locked their offices and stopped all work, including clearance of trade goods.
Due to this tension, Pakistan-Afghanistan trade through the Torkham crossing was suspended.
Officials say that FC personnel insult them, raid their offices and even disrespectfully search their pockets.
They all claim this rough behavior has become a regular practice.
FC officials refused to comment on the situation.
