PDM calls for early election in 2022

The Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) following a meeting put forward the demand from the government to hold general elections in 2022, reported 24NewsHD TV on Tuesday.
PDM chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman and Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif had agreed to resign from assemblies, after heading the Long March towards Islamabad.
Meanwhile, Leader of the opposition in the National Assembly Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif's opted to go for parliamentary politics in the meeting, sources said.
Moreover, important decisions have been taken in the PDM meeting, where it has been decided to issue show-cause notices to the members, who were not present in the joint meeting.
It is pertinent to mention, PDM would start a mass contact campaign under which a series of protests, wheel jam strikes and protest marches from one province to another would be held.
