Dialogue for peace and understanding

Pakistani Ambassador Dr Asad M Khan and Zunaira Asad Khan hosted a group of women leaders at a Luncheon Event themed “Dialogue for Peace and Understanding” at Pakistan House.
The envoy highlighted the significance of Rabiul Awal, the month of birth of Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) and the universality of his message of peace, equality, tolerance, understanding and compassion for each other.
He said the people of Pakistan were peace-loving and the government of Pakistan was taking all measures to strengthen the tolerant ethos of the society.
The ambassador said that Pakistan had always worked with the international community, especially the US, towards promoting regional and global peace.
He praised Pakistani women who were making their mark in every sphere of life and actively contributing to the socio-economic progress of the country.
The guests expressed deep appreciation for the event, saying such events were instrumental in bringing people of different cultures, ethnicities and religious affiliations to come together, share their stories and experiences and better understand each other.
The ambassador also responded to various queries regarding situation in Afghanistan and Pakistan’s efforts to promote regional peace and stability.
