Punjab boards announce Intermediate Part-II results for 2026
Government College’s Muhammad Mohiuddin and Mubashira secured first position in Lahore with 1,158 marks: Faisalabad Board recorded overall pass rate of 71.13% among 109,245 candidates: Rawalpindi Board reported 60.8% overall success rate
Punjab’s secondary education boards, including the Lahore, Rawalpindi and Faisalabad boards, have announced the results of the Intermediate Part-II annual examinations, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Wednesday.
In Lahore, Government College student Muhammad Mohiuddin and Government Degree College Islam Pura student Mubashira secured first position with 1,158 marks in the Class 12 examinations.
Muhammad Mohiuddin and Mubashira, who achieved the top position with 1,158 marks, said they wanted to become doctors in the future and serve the country and its people.
According to the result, 189,000 candidates appeared for the exam this year out of which 123,000 candidates passed the exam.
The pass rate exceeded 64 percent. More than 66,000 candidates failed the exam.
The Faisalabad Board has also announced the results of the Intermediate annual examinations. Board Chairman Rana Benjamin said the results had been uploaded to the board’s website.
A total of 109,245 candidates appeared for the Intermediate annual examinations in Faisalabad, of whom 77,708 were declared successful. The overall pass rate was 71.13 per cent.
In the pre-medical group, 19,576 of the 22,377 candidates passed, giving a success rate of 87.48 per cent.
In the pre-engineering group, 4,028 of the 4,622 candidates passed, with a success rate of 87.15 per cent.
In the general science group, 21,165 of the 27,412 candidates passed, recording a success rate of 77.21 per cent.
In the arts group, 21,908 of the 30,567 candidates passed, with a success rate of 71.67 per cent.
In the commerce group, 1,340 of the 1,895 candidates passed, giving a success rate of 70.71 per cent.
The Rawalpindi Board also announced the results of the first annual Intermediate examinations for 2026. A ceremony was held at the Rawalpindi Board auditorium to mark the announcement.
Members of the Punjab Assembly, including Raja Muhammad Hanif and Malik Iftikhar Ahmed, attended the ceremony along with the board chairman, board officials, successful students and their parents.
The overall pass rate in the Rawalpindi Board examinations was 60.8 per cent. The success rate among male students was 46.52 per cent, while female students recorded a pass rate of 67.56 per cent.
