Hot weather returns after brief respite

The weather remained hot and dry across the country in the last 24 hours and continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country while the weather office predicted rain-wind/thunderstorm in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and Potohar region Sunday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

In Lahore, the weather office recorded a rise in temperature and current mercury was recorded at 34 degree Celsius while the air quality index was recorded at 151 points.

There has not been any prediction about rains in the city.

In Nawabshah and suburbs, the mercury reached upto 45 degree Celsius and the load shedding duration also reached from 16 hours to 18 hours.

The youth of Nawabshah also reached the city’s canal to beat the heat.

Contrary to the other parts of the country, the port city Karachi has been witnessing cloudy weather and weather will remain pleasant. The mercury could go upto 35 degree Celsius.

Rain-wind/thunderstorm occurred in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and Potohar region. Weather remained hot and dry in other parts of the country.
