Legendary Punjabi progressive poet Baba Bulleh Shah’s Urs will be held in Kasur today (Wednesday).

According to the 24News HD TV channel, the government had limited the Urs celebrations to one day against the custom of three days long events on the shrine of Baba Bulleh Shah due to the fourth wave of coronavirus in the country.

It is the 264th Urs of Sufi Saint Hazrat Baba Bulleh Shah and the district administration of Kasur announced a local holiday in respect of the traditional event.

Duties of personnel have been imposed in all departments to provide the best facilities to the visitors and devotees coming across the country on Urs.

The district government had also made the corona vaccination mandatory for the participant of the Urs celebrations and said no one would be allowed to enter the Shrine the vaccination.

The shrine of the Sufi saint would also be closed for the next two days (Thursday and Friday) for the visitors after ending the Urs celebrations on Wednesday.
