Imothée Chalamet fans accused of orchestrating online campaign against Kylie Jenner

Fans of Hollywood actor Timothée Chalamet reportedly launched a coordinated campaign against Kylie Jenner.

According to international media reports, the campaign has been given a two-word code name by some of Chalamet’s more devoted followers, who claim it is a form of ‘punishment’ for what they view as Jenner’s recent actions.

The youngest member of the Kardashian-Jenner family, Kylie has been romantically linked with the Oscar-nominated actor for more than a year. Their relationship, which sparked widespread attention across social media and entertainment outlets, has often divided opinion among their respective fan bases.

Reports suggest that some Chalamet supporters have been unhappy with the relationship from the beginning, believing that Jenner, a business mogul and reality TV star, does not “fit” with the image they have of the actor. This disapproval has now escalated into an alleged digital campaign, complete with a secret phrase used as a rallying point.

Screenshots circulating on social platforms show fans using the code name as a hashtag, with messages urging others to boycott Jenner’s products and flood her social media pages with negative comments.

While the specific phrase has not been widely publicised to prevent further spread, sources indicate it has gained traction within small online communities dedicated to Chalamet.

Observers note that this type of organised fan behaviour is not new in celebrity culture. Over the years, several stars have been targeted by coordinated campaigns launched by passionate supporters of rival celebrities.

Analysts say that the rise of fan-driven movements on platforms like X (formerly Twitter), TikTok, and Instagram has amplified the impact of such campaigns, often resulting in trolling, online harassment, and digital boycotts.

Neither Kylie Jenner nor Timothée Chalamet has publicly commented on the matter. Jenner, who is known for promoting her cosmetics brand and sharing family updates with her millions of followers, has continued posting as usual despite the reported online hostility. Chalamet, who is currently busy with film projects, has also remained silent.

Entertainment critics argue that while fan enthusiasm can help boost a celebrity’s profile, it can also cross the line into toxic behaviour. “The idea of punishing someone for their personal choices reflects an unhealthy level of fan obsession,” one cultural commentator noted. “It raises questions about accountability on social media platforms and the responsibility of communities to discourage harassment.”

At the same time, some fans of Chalamet have distanced themselves from the campaign, stressing that it does not represent the majority. Many have expressed support for both stars and criticised the small group responsible for orchestrating negativity.
