The Election Commission cannot ignore international standards in tendering of machines. Third-party testing of machines is also very important. Irresponsible statements are appearing in the media which are misleading the public.

The three committees have briefed the ECP on EVM and I-voting on December 23. The ECP cannot ignore international standards in tendering machines.

Some people are not aware of this technology. If anyone needs an explanation, the doors of the Election Commission are open.

The work of the Election Commission should not be interfered in any way, the process of putting pressure on the Election Commission should be stopped.

The three committees on EVM and I-voting presented an interim report. The committees sought more time to finalize the recommendations. The Election Commission has given ten more days to the technical committees.

The three committees have been directed to submit detailed report and recommendations after ten days. The future of I-voting and EVM will be decided keeping in view the recommendations of the committees.
