CM Naqvi laments rickety Islampura police station, orders its shifting to new building

Expressing his concern over the old structure housing Islampura police station in Lahore and its overall bad condition, Punjab Chief Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi on Sunday ordered the Punjab IGP and the CCPO to shift the station to a new building by December 31, 2023, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.


The police station has now been included in the list of those 40 police stations of the city whose upgradation has been approved.


The chief minister went round different rooms of the station, and inquired from the prisoners about the nature of their cases.   


CM visits Liberty’s Police Khidmat Markaz


Earlier, the CM, accompanied by Punjab IGP Dr. Usman Anwar and the CCPO Bilal Siddique Kamyana, visited Police Khidmat Markaz at Liberty Market. 


The chief minister mingled with the people present on the occasion and asked them how was their experience at the Markaz.


The people thanked him for the arrangements made at the Markaz.


They said that it did not take them more than 30 minutes to finish their driving license test, and the staff at the center was very cooperative.
