The security forces conducted two successful intelligence-based operations in the Mir Ali area in North Waziristan on Sunday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), media wing of the Pakistan Army, five terrorists were killed in these operations. Commanders Syed Raheem and Saifullah Noor were among those who were killed in these operations.
ISPR says that Syed Raheem has been involved in 17 terrorist attacks since 2007 and he was the head of suicide bombing centres in Mir Ali and Wana. The ISPR says that foreign intelligence agencies orchestrating terrorist attacks inside Pakistan had hired Syed Raheem for targeted killings and recruitment of terrorists.
Syed Raheem was involved in the murder of four tribal elders and three engineers. Saifullah Noor used to carry out landmine attacks on the security forces. Saifullah was associated with the TTP Gohar Group and Syed Raheem with the AKK Group.
