Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed on Sunday said that the government will put no hurdles in the way of Pakistan Democratic Movement’s (PDM) long march as the opposition’s march will surely be fruitless, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Addressing a political gathering in Rawalpindi, he even asked the 11-party opposition alliance to bring as much as protesters they want to Islamabad.

“PMD is participating in Senate polls and in by-elections, I must say that in March or April you should think again for the long march,” he said.
Sheikh Rasheed predicted that Maulana Fazlur Rehman is running in an alley, saying the JUI-F supremo himself was a candidate in the presidential election and now laments the same assembly.
“I am not worried about the PML-N and the PPP as they will handle their affairs on their own but I am worried about the Maulana,” he added.
“Inflation in the country soared because the thieves looted a lot and same happened with the electricity price hike,” Sheikh Rasheed further added.
The interior minister explained, “We had to go to the IMF and the {financial} burden fell on the people, but thankfully remittances are coming from abroad. We will control this inflation.”
He also announced plans to convert Waqar Nisa College into a university and other development works.
He said Imran Khan will complete his five years in office and his party is standing with him.
Sheikh Rasheed said in Imran Khan’s era no encroachment mafia is allowed to prevail.
