Micro-smart lockdown imposed in Karachi South areas

Following surging coronavirus cases in Karachi, the administration has imposed micro-smart lockdown in three sub-divisions of the district south, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to a notification issued on Monday, the micro-smart lockdown has been imposed in sub-division Garden, Sadr and Civil Lines.
The streets which have been sealed included: Eidgah Lane’s street Nos. 8,9,10 and 11; Defence Sunset Street No. 2; Naval Heights; Rumi Street, Clifton Tower; Iqbal Lane, Block L; Boot Basin; and Khyaban Shaheen.
According to the notification, all people who will come and go in these streets are required to wear masks while all unnecessary movement is banned in these streets.
Moreover, all business and industrial activities will remain suspended in these areas.
Meanwhile, the positivity ratio in Karachi has dropped a little as the infectivity rate was recorded 37.23% during last 24 hours.
As many as 6,871 corona tests were conducted in the city and 2,558 were tested positive.
