CM Naqvi inaugurates special operation room at SPU City Traffic Police Lines

Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi inaugurated a special operation room of the Special Protection Unit (SPU) in the City Traffic Police Lines in Manawan, Lahore, on Tuesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

As per details, the Chief Minister visited the special operation room and reviewed the security arrangements in the operation room with the help of modern cameras.

CM Naqvi met the staff in the operation room and urged them to perform their duties diligently while he appreciated the initiative of establishing the operation room.

During a special meeting in the committee room presided over by Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi, the Inspector General (IG) Police Dr. Usman Anwar gave a briefing about the functions and performance of the operation room.

Furthermore, the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Special Protection Unit, Tayyab Hafeez briefed about the performance of the Special Protection Unit (SPU) saying that the operation room is working 24/7 whereas 7959 SPU personnel are assigned to protect foreigners.

The Chinese language has been taught to 378 officers and personnel of SPU with the support of the Chinese Consulate.

Inspector General Police Dr. Usman Anwar, Deputy Consul General of China Mr. Cao Ke, CCPO, DIG Special Protection Unit, CTO, and related officials were present on this occasion.
