SalamAir to airlift Pakistanis from Muscat through six flights

There is some good news for the Pakistanis stuck in Muscat, Oman, as the SalamAir will transport hundreds of them in the coming days back to the country, enabling them to celebrate Eid with their loved ones.
According to 24NewsHD TV channel, the Muscat-based Omani airline will operate six flights to different cities in Pakistan after the country’s Civil Aviation Authority granted permission for the purpose.
The schedule announced by the SalamAir shows the first of these flights will land in Karachi on July 26 and the second in Sialkot on 28th.
Meanwhile, the next flights from Muscat are scheduled for Multan on July 29, Islamabad July 30, Peshawar July 31 and Lahore August 2.
In this connection, the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority said the SOPs set for the coronavirus pandemic would be followed during the operation. The flight crew won’t be allowed to leave the planes while the passengers and their luggage would be disinfected after the arrival, it added.
SalamAir is a budget (low-cost) airline which operates flights to over 30 destinations across the Middle East, Central Asia and parts of Southeast Asia.
The airline previously too operated special flights to airlift Pakistanis from Muscat and carry back the Omani nationals from Pakistan. These flights from Muscat had arrived in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Sialkot, Multan and Peshawar.
