The Punjab government has issued standard operating procedures for burial of people dying from coronavirus.
Under the SoPs, a six-member health team will supervise the last rites all the way from quarantine to graveyard.
No one will be allowed to touch the body packed in a plastic bag and it will be placed in the grave using ropes.
Personal protective equipment is a must for officials and relatives taking part in the funeral.
Anything used by the victim would be discarded and isolation room washed with phenethylamine to stop spread of corona virus.
Authorities sent the copies of SoPs to commissioners, hospital heads and other departments concerned.
