Shan Masood returns as Multan Sultans vice-captain
Pakistan Test captain Shan Masood has rejoined Multan Sultans as vice-captain for the upcoming 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League, set to commence on March 26.
The franchise confirmed the development on Tuesday through its official account on X, formerly Twitter, welcoming Masood back with the message: “Your vice-captain – Shan Masood. Back where he belongs.”
Masood expressed satisfaction over his return to the side, stating that he was pleased to rejoin the franchise ahead of the new season.
Earlier, on March 16, Multan Sultans had announced the appointment of Australian cricketer Ashton Turner as captain for PSL 11.
According to the franchise, Turner brings significant leadership experience along with a proven track record of success in domestic and international competitions.
The Multan-based side is expected to enter the tournament with a balanced leadership group as it aims to strengthen its performance in the forthcoming edition of the league.
