Chaudhry Shujaat directs workers to engage in Quetta local elections fully 

Pakistan Muslim League (PML) chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has directed party workers to fully engage in the upcoming local body elections in Quetta, urging them to take an active role in campaigning and grassroots activities, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Monday.

Party spokesperson Mustafa Malik and Naimat Khan will arrive in Quetta tomorrow for a three-day organizational visit as per Chaudhry Shujaat’s instructions.

During discussions with Dr. Rafiullah, Shakoor Marri and Bashir Khan Achakzai, the PML chief reviewed preparations for the elections. Senior leaders, including Provincial Minister Chaudhry Shafi Hussain and Central Secretary Information Mustafa Malik, were also present.

Chaudhry Shujaat highlighted the strategic significance of Balochistan, saying its mineral resources could propel it ahead of other regions.

“The whole world is watching Balochistan’s mineral reserves,” he said, adding that sustained peace would further enhance their value.

He stressed that Balochistan’s development is a national priority and warned that neglecting the province undermines the entire country. He emphasized focusing on education, healthcare and infrastructure, with both the federal and provincial governments working jointly to address longstanding issues.

Chaudhry Shujaat called for ensuring Baloch rights in development projects, increasing representation of Balochistan in CPEC, and creating employment opportunities for the province’s youth. “A strong Balochistan is the guarantee of a strong Pakistan,” he said, urging that the benefits of development must reach the people on the ground.
