Nawaz Sharif congratulates winning candidates, says Pakistan rejects “destructive politics”

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif Monday extended congratulations to party-backed candidates who secured victories in the recent by-elections, expressing confidence that the country is moving toward stability and economic improvement.

In a statement shared on X, Nawaz Sharif conveyed “heartfelt congratulations” to PML-N’s successful candidates and acknowledged the dedication of party workers during the campaign.

Sharif said the combined efforts and “selfless service” of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif are steering the country back onto the right track.

He stated that the electorate had clearly rejected “violence, chaos and destructive politics,” choosing instead a future of “development, prosperity and stability.”

The former premier expressed optimism that national progress would continue under the current leadership and credited public confidence in democratic continuity as a vital sign of political maturity.
