Pakistan pushes judicial cooperation at Riyadh Justice Summit

Federal Law Minister Senator Azam Nazir Tarar led Pakistan’s delegation to the second International Conference on Justice in Riyadh, where representatives from more than 40 countries, including ministers and judicial experts, discussed global cooperation on judicial standards, digital transformation and justice, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Monday.

During the two-day conference, Senator Tarar held several key bilateral meetings aimed at expanding Pakistan’s legal and judicial partnerships.

He met with Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Justice, Walid Muhammad Al-Samani, where both sides signed a memorandum of understanding to strengthen cooperation in judicial reforms and technological development.

The Law Minister also met with Dr Amin Hossein Rahimi, Minister of Justice of Iran, where discussions centered on enhancing mutual legal collaboration and institutional linkages between the two countries.

In addition, Senator Tarar’s engagements extended to Turkey, where he met with Minister of Justice Yilmaz Tanak. The discussions included plans for modernising judicial processes and reinforcing existing cooperation frameworks.

The Pakistani delegation also held talks with Farid Ahmadov, Minister of Justice of Azerbaijan. The meeting focused on expanding legal frameworks, exchanging best practices and promoting collaboration in judicial training and education.
