Shehbaz Sharif calls for joint work to save lives in India

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif said that the loss of innocent lives due to Covid-19 in India is deeply sad and he extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families.
In a tweet, the PML-N president said that coronavirus is a global pandemic that is killing humanity.

Shehbaz Sharif said, “We as human beings must respect the lives of other helpless humans and work together to save them. May humanity be saved from this difficult situation.”
India continues to reel under the much severe second Covid wave as nearly 3.5 lakh new cases have been reported in the last 24 hours.
The health infrastructure of the country is under stress due to the surge in cases and the shortage of medical oxygen as there are over 26 lakh active cases now in India.
Pakistan on Saturday offered medical supplies to India that has been struggling to cope with a deadly wave of Covid-19.
Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi tweeted, “As a gesture of solidarity with the people of India in the wake of the current wave of COVID-19, Pakistan has officially offered relief and support to India.”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on his monthly radio programme Mann Ki Baat, “India was full of self-confidence after successfully tackling the first wave of COVID-19, this 'toofan' (2nd wave) has shaken the country,” international media reported.
