Eight Indian-backed terrorists eliminated in Kalat operation

Security forces on December 24 carried out an intelligence-based operation in Kalat, killing eight Indian-backed terrorists after a fierce exchange of fire, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Thursday.

The channel reported that the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement that the military’s media wing said that the operation was launched after credible intelligence about the presence of terrorists in the area. 

The troops effectively targeted a terrorist hideout, leading to an intense gun battle between the two sides.

The ISPR said that a large cache of weapons and explosive material was recovered from the killed militants, indicating their involvement in planned acts of violence.

According to the statement, the slain terrorists had been actively involved in several terrorist activities in the area, posing a serious threat to peace and security.

Following the operation, sanitisation activities were being carried out to ensure that no other Indian-sponsored terrorists remained in the region and to restore complete security in the area.

The security forces were continuing counter-terrorism operations under the vision of Azm-e-Istehkam and reaffirmed that Pakistan’s security forces and law enforcement agencies would persist in their efforts to eliminate foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country.
