Punjab Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Parvez Elahi on Tuesday said that Pakistan and Iran are bound by the strong brotherly, cultural, and religious bond.

“These relations are set to strengthen further with each passing day.”

Punjab Assembly Speaker Ch Parvez Elahi was talking with Iranian Ambassador Mohammad Ali Hosseini who called on him at Punjab Assembly on Tuesday. Mr Ali Hosseini led a delegation comprising Iranian Consulate General in Lahore Muhammad Raza Nazari and other officers of the Iranian Embassy. They discussed bilateral relations between Pakistan and Iran in the meeting and took various issues of mutual importance. Ch Parvez Elahi said that Pakistan and Iran have been enjoying deep-rooted relations, which are being strengthened with each passing day.

The PA speaker pointed out that the relationships between the two countries are not only at the government level but also at the public level. “Both Pakistan and Iran are faced with common challenges and can achieve success on the economic front by further strengthening mutual relations.”

He informed the Iranian delegation about the working of Punjab Assembly. Punjab Assembly members also apprised Iranian delegation about the steps taken for public welfare and legislation of the assembly.
