8th class annual exams will be held on e-sheets in Punjab

For the first time in history, the annual examinations of the 8th class will be held on e-sheets in Punjab, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Wednesday.

The answer sheet will be checked after scanning. The papers will be collected through CEOs education of the relevant districts.

Earlier, the Punjab Education Commission announced that the annual board examinations for Class 8 students across Punjab will commence on March 9, 2026.

As per the date sheet, the first paper will be Mathematics on March 9, followed by Urdu on March 10, English on March 11, and Science on March 12. 

The PEC will conduct examinations in these four core subjects, while assessments for the remaining subjects will be organised by respective schools.

The commission has directed all candidates to reach their examination centres at least 30 minutes before the start of the paper. Examinations will be held from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.

The final result of the examinations will be announced on April 9.
