Threat alert issued for Peshawar’s educational institutions

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s (KP) Home and Tribal Affairs Department on Monday alerted Peshawar’s universities and other educational institutions about a possible terrorist attack, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
In its threat alert, the department has stated that terrorists, led by Commander Muzammil, from Afghanistan, have entered Charsadda, and they plan to spread terror in the provincial capital.
Keeping in view the warning, Higher Education, KP has also written to the heads of all universities, schools and colleges of the provincial capital to take measures for the safety of their students.
Similarly, police and other law-enforcement agencies (LEAs) have also been asked to remain on their toes in view of a possible terrorist attack.
Peshawar had faced its worst attack on am educational institute when terrorists stormed Army Public School on 16 December 2014 and killed over 150 people including 132 children.
