DIG Abdullah Sheikh has been accused of manhandling a citizen and the Karachi police chief ordered the DIG south to dig into the matter, 24newsHD TV channel reported on Monday.

A case has been registered as the video showing the public servant beating the citizen went viral. In the video, DIG Abdullah Sheikh can be seen punching a person in the face last night.

The victim approached the police station concerned, alleging the DIG the public servant tortured him and his sister and stole valuables. The matter is being investigated, a spokesperson for the police said, adding that the law will take its course.
