Federal Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed failed to keep his word of announcing the victory of Imran Khan’s Tehrik-e-Insaaf in the Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK) elections by 9:30pm, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
Addressing a gathering at Laal Haveli in Rawalpindi, the minister vowed to make an announcement of the ruling PTI's victory in AJK.
He said Prime Minister Imran Khan has emphasized the need to introduce ‘Electronic Voting Machines’ through electoral reforms.
Earlier, Sheikh Rashid on Saturday expressed hope that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) will emerge victorious in the Azad Kashmir elections.
Talking to media persons, Interior Minister said that opposition parties are crying foul even before votes are cast and added that he will announce PTI victory in the AJK election from Lal Haveli.
Responding to reports of meeting between Nawaz Sharif and Afghan NSA, Sheikh Rashid said that as per social media, PML-N supremo met with ‘RAW’ agents. He further said that he does not see any future of the Nawaz Sharif party in politics and the inappropriate language of Maryam Nawaz would also destroy her political career.
