Three dacoits killed in police encounters

Three notorious dacoits were sent to hell in three different police encounters in Lahore, Burewala, and Jacoabad, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Friday.

The first police encounter took place in Nishtar Town of Lahore. Sources said that Model Town Crime Control Department (CCD) team raided a location to arrest a dacoit.

After noticing the CCD team, the dacoit and his colleagues started firing on the police team.

During heavy exchange of fire, the dacoit who was later identified as Mushtaq Ahmad aged 49 was became seriously injured by the firing of his companions.

The CCD started shifting the injured dacoit to the hospital, but he died on the way to the hospital. The other companions of the dacoit escaped from the scene, taking advantage of the darkness.

The second encounter took place in the Lat Bhatian area in the jurisdiction of Saddar Police Station, Burewala. 

Sources said that a Crime Control Department was on their routine patrolling when some dacoits after taking notice of police van started firing.

The CCD team also opened fire in retaliation. During the exchange of fire, one dacoit, Umar alias Sohna died by the firing of his colleagues.

Sources said that the dead dacoit killed a youngster during a robbery a few days ago. Later, the CCD team shifted the dead body of the dacoit to the hospital and started a search operation to apprehend the colleagues of dead dacoit.

The third police encounter took place in Mao Wah area under the jurisdiction of Thull Police Station in which a serial killer Naseer alias Saleem alias Todo son of Tehgo caste Malik, resident of village Hazoor Bakhsh Tanwangani district Kandhkot, breathed his last.

SSP Jacobabad Mohammad Kaleem Malik said that the dead dacoit was a proclaimed offender and was wanted by police in serious criminal cases, including kidnapping, sexual abuse, and murder.

The accused kidnapped the youngsters after promising to provide them employment. Later, the accused slit their throat.

The accused also slit the throat of a young man, Waheed Ahmad, on July 17, 2025 and injured another person, Mohammad Suleman, who belonged to Multan.

Later, the police team shifted the dead body of the dacoit to Taluka Hospital for autopsy.
