Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited the National Defence University (NDU) in Islamabad on Thursday and addressed the participants in the National Security and War Course.

The COAS shared his thoughts on security environment of the region and his vision of enduring peace in Pakistan. Highlighting internal and external challenges to the national security, the COAS said that full spectrum of these challenges demanded a comprehensive national response and strengthening of all state institutions. He said the Pakistan Army would keep doing all that was required of it for provision of a secure environment for a sustained socio-economic progress.

General Bajwa reiterated that the Pakistan Army was committed to defence and security of the country and shall continue to perform its duties with the national support.

Earlier on arrival, the COAS was received by Lieutenant General Muhammad Saeed, president of the NDU.
