The wife of Justice Qazi Faez Isa has approached the Secretariat police to file a complaint that her husband was being threatened, sources said on Wednesday
She handed over to police a video clip showing a man threatening to kill the Supreme Court judge, the sources said, adding that police registered a case.
She got her application registered with the station house officer, they said adding that she made an appeal for taking action.
Hurling such threats at a top court judge falls under the Anti-Terrorist Act (ATA), she added.
On June 20, Justice Faez Isa decided to file a review petition against the Supreme Court’s decision to send the matter of his wife and children's properties to the FBR (Federal Bureau of Revenue).
According to 24NewsHD TV channel, it’s not just Justice Faez Isa but the Pakistan Bar Council was also going to challenge the verdict issued by the apex court on Friday.
The lawyers representing Justice Faez Isa are in consultations over the review petition issue, as their client and his wife have opposed the move of sending the matter to the FBR.
