A good news for the people of Karachi indeed as Sindh Minister for Transport Sharjeel Inam Memon has announced the launch of Peoples Bus Service in the city from day after tomorrow (Monday, June 27, 2022), reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday. 

The minister took to twitter to make the announcement.

The announcement is nothing short of a dream come true for the people of the port city who have been deprived of decent transport system for a long time now. 

In 60s and 70s and even 80s, there was an intra-city rail network for Karachiites, but in later years there was almost a complete collapse of the transport system in the country’s financial hub from where most of the tax money is collected.     

Although, successive governments, especially of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), have been promising to people of the city that they will have a better transport system in days to come, but never ever they fulfilled any of their promise.
