ANP shows reservations about military operation

Awami National Party (ANP) provincial president Mian Iftikhar has shown reservations about the military operation.

“There are serious concerns over the operation,” he said calling it a ‘unilateral decision’.

He added: “No one has been brought into confidence over it.

“Now people believe in operation and not in negotiations.”

“If any such step is to be taken, everyone should take it into confidence

Iftikhar questioned the sneaking of 40, 000 terrorists into Pakistan.

The ANP provincial chief chided the KP chief minister.

Gandapur for taking stakeholders into confidence before launching military operation

He claimed the chief minister was present in the meeting that gave the go-ahead for the operation.

“The PTI then says that we disapprove of it. The CM is the representative of the government as well as the PTI as he is also the provincial president.”

He went on: “The PTI is just concerned about the party founder’s release”

“The PTI should make serious decisions on the matter of national interest.

“The Chief Minister says to press the button. It is not just a matter of pressing a button but a matter of policy.”
