Kim Kardashian debuts bold blonde curls alongside mom Kris Jenner
Kim Kardashian showcased a daring new look and a lot of skin in a wild new campaign for the Roberto Cavalli x SKIMS collaboration, starring alongside her ever-stylish momager Kris Jenner.
The 44-year-old reality star and entrepreneur took to Instagram to unveil a first look at the limited-edition swim collection, set to launch Friday, June 27. Going full glam, Kim stunned fans by debuting a blonde, curly bob, a sharp contrast to her signature long, dark locks, in a tiger-print one-piece swimsuit.
Kris Jenner, 69, joined her daughter in several campaign shots, proving she's just as much “the moment.” The mom-and-daughter duo posed together on scenic verandas, retro kitchen sets, and sun-soaked patios each look bolder than the last.
In one eye-catching shot, Kim rocked a plunging blue-patterned dress, while Kris complemented the vibe in a matching printed cover-up and scarf. Another sultry scene featured Kim lounging in a printed bikini, sipping a drink beside her mother as cicadas buzzed in the background.
Jenner whispered into Kim’s ear in a video clip shot with a vintage-style filter, while models strutted nearby, a nod to the campaign’s playful yet nostalgic tone.
Speaking with Vogue, Kim explained how the unexpected collaboration came to life. “We were making our own prints and I thought, ‘There has to be a way to do a SKIMS Cavalli collab,’” she said, revealing she DM’d creative director Fausto Puglisi directly to pitch the idea.
Kim said the collab was born from a personal moment with Kris. “She saw me looking at samples and said, ‘I want this and this!’ That’s when I said, ‘Wait –you have to be in the campaign.’ Because Kris Jenner is the moment.”
The collection, described as a blend of Roberto Cavalli’s “exotic Italian glamour” with SKIMS' “signature silhouettes,” is aimed at all ages. “There’s no one more fabulous than my mom,” Kim added. “This collection will reach a broader age range and that’s super important.”
The campaign follows a string of high-profile collabs for the $4 billion SKIMS brand, including past partnerships with Fendi and Dolce & Gabbana. Kim launched SKIMS in 2019, and it’s set to mark its sixth anniversary this October.
