An anti-terrorism court in Lahore has granted interim bail to former prime minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan till April 4 in three terrorism cases related to vandalism, arson and attack by the PTI workers on police officials in Zaman Park, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The court granted interim bail in three terror cases against surety bonds of Rs100,000 each.

The court, however, ordered the PTI chairman to participate in the case investigations.

Earlier, PTI Chairman Imran Khan reached the anti-terrorism court in his vehicle to get interim bail in three terrorism cases registered against him.

The Lahore High Court on Friday granted Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan a three-day extension in protective bail till March 27 in five cases registered against him in the federal capital after he personally appeared before the court, reported 24NewsHd TV channel.

The former prime minister arrived at the LHC amid tight security as a two-member special bench, comprising Justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh and Justice Anwaar Hussain heard the plea regarding an extension in the protective bail.

Last week, Khan secured protective bail in eight terrorism cases and one civil case — a total of nine — after he appeared before the court in person. For the five cases in Islamabad, the court granted bail to Khan till March 24 and for the three cases in Lahore, he received bail for 10 days (March 27).

Yesterday, Khan did not file bail petitions in five new cases registered in Ramna, Khanna, and Bhara Kaho police stations of Islamabad under terrorism charges.

Imran says govt wants to crush PTI

While talking to media outside the ATC court while sitting in his vehicle, Imran said that in order to flop our rally at Minar-i-Pakistan today, the government has arrested our 1,600 workers. He requested the people to reach the Minar-i-Pakistan today.

He lamented that his party people have been persecuted as if it were Kashmir or Palestine.

He hoped that today we will hold the biggest ever rally at Minar-i-Pakistan in the history of Pakistan.

The PTI chief said that the government is using every possible method to crush the PTI. He said we will not back off under any circumstance.

Khan said we have been stuck in a bog and people are dying in queues made to get free flour bags.

He expressed his resolve that the fight for Haqeeqi Azadi and “Jehad’ will go on. “We have to give sacrifices. I’m ready for it. We will not back off. We have to break the chains of slavery,” Khan added.
