Bollywood star Aamir Khan has opened up about his biggest regret. In a candid conversation on Instant Bollywood’s exclusive podcast, the superstar Aamir Khan pointed out that he could not spend time with his family and friends due to his intense work commitments.
The actor, known for his dedication to cinema, admitted that this realization hit him hard, prompting a major shift in his priorities. Reflecting on his past choices, Aamir shared that he now devotes most of his time to his loved ones, ensuring he makes up for lost moments.
However, in his signature witty style, he joked about the unexpected consequence of this change. “Ab pichle 3 saal se mere bacche mujhse pareshan ho gaye,” he said, hinting at how his increased presence at home has become overwhelming for his children.
Aamir Khan recently made headlines after confirming his relationship with Gauri Spratt, a longtime friend of 25 years. The announcement came during an informal meet-and-greet event in Mumbai, just ahead of his 60th birthday.
Gauri, originally from Bengaluru, has no prior connections to the Bollywood industry and is currently working with Aamir's production house. The couple reconnected approximately a year and a half ago when Gauri was in Mumbai; their relationship developed organically from there.
Aamir expressed his contentment, stating, "With Gauri, I feel settled." He also mentioned that Gauri has met his family and close friends, including fellow actors Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan.
Gauri, who is the mother of a six-year-old son, shared that she was seeking someone gentle and intelligent and is pleased to have found these qualities in Aamir. When questioned about the possibility of marriage, Aamir humorously remarked, "I don't know at the age of 60 whether marriage suits me at this age.
Aamir Khan was previously married to Reena Dutta, with whom he shares two children, and later to filmmaker Kiran Rao, with whom he has a son. He maintains a cordial relationship with both ex-wives and continues to co-parent his children.
Aamir is set to appear in "Sitaare Zameen Par," a thematic sequel to his acclaimed film "Taare Zameen Par," scheduled for release in June.
