Winter’s first rain falls in Karachi

The Sindh capital received the first rain of the ongoing winter while Karachi remained in the grip of Siberian winds.
According to the Meteorological Department, partly cloudy weather is expected in part of the provincial in 24 hours and light showers were too likely.
The rain was reported in Gulshan Mamar, North Karachi, Saadi Town, Sarjani Town of the port city, bringing the temperature down to 16-degree centigrade. The maximum temperature is likely to remain between 27 and 29-degree centigrade while humidity in the air was recorded at 41 per cent.
The Met Office reported last week that Karachi's weather was likely to become chillier and the city will receive first rain of the season between November 23 and November 25. Last month, the experts said winters in the port city were expected to be longer this year and a relevant outlook would be released in the first week of November.
