Zimbabwe opt to bat first against Sri Lanka in tri-nation clash

Zimbabwe won the toss and elected to bat first against Sri Lanka in the tri-nation series match at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Tuesday.

Zimbabwe’s captain Sikandar Raza, after assessing the conditions, said the pitch looked conducive for a high-scoring game.

“Judging by the wicket, it seems like a lot of runs will be scored today,” he remarked while explaining the decision to bat first.

Meanwhile, the Sri Lankan captain emphasised the importance of the fixture for his side, saying, “This match is crucial for us, and we will give our best to secure a win.”

Both teams are looking to strengthen their position in the ongoing tri-series with a strong performance in this encounter.
