British High Commissioner meets JUI chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman in Islamabad

The British High Commissioner to Pakistan, Jane Marriott, met with Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman in Islamabad, 24NewsHD TV reported on Saturday.

According to sources, the meeting focused on the overall political situation in Pakistan and the broader regional landscape, including security developments in the region.

Both sides expressed their intention to strengthen Pakistan-UK relations and explore avenues of cooperation.

The discussion also touched upon Pakistan–Afghanistan relations and their impact on regional stability.

During the meeting, the two agreed on the importance of creating new investment opportunities in Pakistan, emphasising that increased foreign investment would help improve the living standards of the Pakistani people.
